Korean Dinner @ 2D1N Soju Bang & Desserts @ PS Cafe

met up with shinye, bazhang & wengyin to utilise our almost dued coupons to visit Mint Museum!

we commented at every little small things we observed at the museum and of course,

were hungryyy after that and decided to roam the tanjong pagar area for good food!

we found 2D1N Soju Bang which bazhang's been there before & ordered this stewed chicken hot pot to try.

its seriously not bad and i like their tender chicken meat. but...the soup/ gravy/ broth is too sinful!

and as shinye & i were shopping along those shophouses that were still opened,

ba walked around and discovered PS cafe. we're all really full after our filling korean dinner

but not one's ever too full for desserts huh ^^*

me ordered a mint & lemon soda and this person gave a spastic look when it came!

the mint did make the drink taste weird and shinye actually dug all of them

outta my drink to prevent it from tasting anymore weirder ~,~

not to leave out this humongous chocolate cake that fits the size of a plate used to serve fried rice!

its nice and tasted more like brownie in fact but, tooooo much that us combined and we still leave leftovers behind!

Picnic @ The Botanical Gardens

foodie we each brought on our own: potato salad by siping, drinks by wenting plus fruits & desserts by me! 

while these delicious-looking sushi are no doubt grab on by lazy yizhen on a last-minute resort!

didn't manage to snap a picture of my handmade dessert for them but well, these are pretty much the food we had for picnic!

it's been a long time since we've had a gathering and look at what we played: uno stacko. because, none of us bought monopoly deal! >,<

 
so...we spent our entire time catching up while playing this brainless yet relaxing game under the greenery (:

forfeits for the losers and here's one of the disgusting thing we did to our yizhen, to eat those 小馒头mixed with coke zero, yikes!

 the six of us met up to have lunch at paradise dynasty and i like how we're able to

meetup and chat so relaxingly over a meal. no work no exams, just us and food! :D

plus we haven't been able to see liyang since he started working.

financial consultants are busy people. but catching up is important too!

glad that he took this shot for us! at least with the tip of the long-sticked-teapot.

cause we're such irritating people and we enjoy watching the man dressed in
古代 clothes topping up our tea cup with his special teapot;

we kept forcing tea down our throat so we can ask for refills! ;D

im finally back home from a night of mj and supper

and i have no idea why im in the mood of blogging

at this unearthly hour of 330am, again!

htht with the girls yesterday's good.

hee i love listening to their stories.

there's always something new to hear,

something unexpected to giggle at.

and, htht with the guys just now are so-so~

guess cause im the only girl there.

but choonyew, be strong! (:

you know, we friends, will still love you forever.

and heres what i realised about how different

girls and guys deal with their breakups:

girls, eat chocolate to forget the bitterness of the breakup,

while guys drink beer to forget the sweetness of the girl.

girls, go shopping, paint their nails, get a new haircut,

bake something sweet, make cards for friends,

and indulge themselves in any other
girl-girly things to make themself happy;

while guys go drinking with their gang of guyfriends,

do vigorous sports, sweat it out, or get away for a short trip

just to make themselves forget everything.

i cant say if a girl or a guy would hurt more in a breakup.

afterall we're all humans and nothings fair.
its never going to be even.

but well, here's what friends are for!
to be there for you,
to do anything for you, with you!

when the nelers go to town.

 a meetup with bazhang and wengyin once our exams' finally over!

we decided to have marche after much procrastinations,

so this is what happens when theres too many choices!

 we got stir-fried vege with my favourite juicy mushrooms, salami mushroom pizza, fried calamaris,

rosti with chicken sausage, and a cream of mushroom soup to share! this tiny spread may not seem to be a lot

but we were really full after we cleared the plates! everything's nice at marche, really no doubt about the taste (;

 and heres the heels shinye and i both bought from 'new look' at 313.

it's soo pretty we both love it a lot!

so after eating & shopping, we took a walk down orchard road to search for dessert place

but we ended up taking crappy photos along the way:

i know its 3am now but i wanna jolt these down before i hit my bed. so here it goes..

to the 3 of you, bazhang, shinye and wengyin, thankyou and i love you *MUACK*
ive really enjoyed the gathering we've just had and its crazy
that we actually hung out till so late that we're home at 230am.
i have to admit its been long since ive enjoyed so soo much laughter
and i feel really blessed to have you 3 in my life!!

bazhang! you're definitely one of the most amazing guy friend ive had. you always have the answer to whatever question i ask. youre definitely one of the most hilarious person ive met. and youre one who can make me laugh without you trying. just an expression from you. or even just seeing your face, can make me burst into laughter. i love you for all these!!
all the laughters aside, youve been a great friend who gave me great advice when im lost too. you called me weak when i was really depressed last time. you scolded me and made me 'wake up'. you asked me to be stronger, cry if i want to, but get stronger after that. yea man, thanks for scolding me. youre the only friend who had scolded me. other friends don't scold me, they give me encouragement and ask me to take care.

shinye! i think shopping really played a big part in us getting close together to the best friends we are now! we always seem to like the same stuff and share similar shopping habits! we can be splurging our money away once we see things we like but yet we can be stingy at times. sounds like we have split personality haha. but who cares, we're women. being fickle-minded is one of a woman's trait! and yes! we have to go travelling together one day! (bangkok, hongkong and any other shopping heaven, all of them) i wanna buy the same clothes, the same shoe and the same bag with you! ive lost count of the number of similar items we've had but i know theres definitely one more being added to our collection: the black heels we bought together from new look today. *hee*
feels so comfortable whenever we're hanging out together and time always seem to fly past so fast while we're busy catching up and gossiping away! htht talks once in a while's great too even though there are times i just wanna swallow all my troubles up but end up spilling everything out to you ;p
anyway, we're moving on to our next stage of life soon/NOW! all the best to our job hunting! we need income to sponsor more of our spendings!

wengyin! youve been my loyal movie companion up till now and im glad we're still making the effort to keep in touch even though youve started working since a year ago! you always seem to be able to detect my emotions, whether im really happy, sad or troubled. you make me feel so transparent in front of you! but thank you, for the times when you asked if im okay whenever you sense that something's wrong with me; and offered me a pair of listening ears. im glad that i have you to share the nitty-gritties in life. those lame jokes, those laughters, everything! and you know i love you! and i love love updating you whenever something really good/bad happens to me. hee guess sharing's the greatest bond between us (:

anyways, we had a super filling meal at NEWYORKNEWYORK before

going down to ashley's place to see her meow!(her rabbit's name)

and gamble our night away $.$

*likes* the comfy sofa seats at the corner of nyny and

they do serve huge portions for the appetisers combo!

theres buffalo wings, fried mushrooms, fried calamaris and potato wedges

i'll definitely order it again the next time im dining in there (;

  since dinner's at nyny means that we can have our candy floss for freeeeee

the waiter even offered to bring us our candy flosssss if

we're lazy to go spin it on our own haha :DD

its just how spoilt we people are nowww!

haha its a full-of-shit-generator really!

we all dug out coins to gamble since ashley took out her tray of coins first

still, i managed to win $5 from this while kaixin became the biggest winner of $30

while she started off with $0. lucky hands she has!

and because her winning is aso the cause of the rest of the guys losing,

they suggested switching to gamble over mahjong instead!

lucky me won another $4 from here. haa i just dowon to be the loser cos you'll get laugh at.

have to take off your pants if you lose again!

alright back to the main theme of the night's gathering:

1st birthday celebration of the year for January baby Shinye!
we're all turning 23 this year and through some casual conversation,
i remed that shinye mentioned she would like her birthday gathering to be held at the Macdonalds/
as it hasnt been done in any of the years before. and so i organised this for her,
to celebrate her birthday in her teenage dream way/
together with that pink bow for her to wear throughout the night :p
cute huh, we happened to chance upon it while we were doing some new year shopping for (;
oh well these pictures may not look like we're at a macdonalds eating fast food for dinner, but it is!
- a long table at the far end of the branch at raffles city.
we totally had the whole area to ourselves and even had our 捞鱼生 afterwards
w/o any staff poking us out XD love the whole company for the fun
and we're all planning for a grad trip together in may'11!
im mega excited about this hee cannot wait!
cannot wait cannot wait to go to a foreign place altogether for the first time :D
and yeap for this special reason, we've chose to go to the Philippines for our grad trip!
theres this very beautiful Borocay beach over there and if plannings go well,
we might be able to squeeze places like Vietnam and Cambodia into our itinerary too!

got down to marina barrage for a kite flying/ picnic gathering with the people ive known from the previous comtech job too/
and there we were, making our way through to get the kite up that blue sky!
hilarious max because the wind was too strong and none of us actually know how to fly a kite :p

 
 then, within 30mins the sky turned all dark and gloomy. which meant we had to pack our stuff back indoors. 


tsk, can anyone imagine this? junxiang actually went to find the directions to get to marina barrage and printed this out. best of all, we're going to marina barrage not marina bay sands! NOOB we call him. and even if he gives excuses that he's been too used to studying at Aust that hes afraid he'll get lost here, still he could have saved this info in his phone right?!! n-o-o-b!

and so this was what lasted us through our unplanned indoor activities-
camwhoring plus some usual sabotage games.

the raspberry looks are too hairy to be eaten but well they don contribute much to any taste
