The Adolescent

All the colors remind me of my childhood.

I'm absorbed infeelings of everything at once.

I keep my mouth shut and watch a couple dance

alone in a crowded room.

And their body language is unrecognizable;

perfectly in-sync and to the beat

despite the commotion as the world floods around them.

knee deep and happy.
